 Choosing a first dance song

June 24, 2020 by Dan Metcalfe

Every wedding is made up of recognizably magical moments. Everyone knows them. The groom seeing
his bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle. The cutting of the cake and subsequent miniature
food fight. The wedding party speeches. They’re all important and have the ability to create indelible
memories. However, it could be argued that, outside of the ceremony, the most important moment of
your special day is your first dance. It sets a precedent and a tone for the reception. What kind of
celebration do you want it to be? Quaint and romantic? Elaborate and majestic? Or do you just want to
have a heck of a lot of fun? Your first dance can say it all.

June 3, 2020 by Dan Metcalfe

Karaoke is an amazing way to spend an evening out. Be it with friends, your significant other, or

jockey) is there to make sure you have the maximum amount of fun, they also have to ensure that the
show runs smoothly, and that everyone gets equal opportunity to show their stuff. Here are some rules
and regulations that KJ’s use in order to ensure fun and fairness.

March 14, 2020 by John Murray

JAMMIN’ DJs Statement regarding COVID-19 (the coronavirus):

At JAMMIN’ DJs we have no higher priority than the safety and health of our staff, clients, and families.  We are constantly monitoring the situation of the COVID-19 (the coronavirus) through trusted channels to stay up to date on this evolving situation.

We look forward to serving our clients and their event guests, and at this time are operating business as usual.  We recognize that the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) is top of mind for many event planners, attendees and travelers. Currently, there are no general restrictions on travel within the United States.

As we are in the event industry, we understand the concern of hosting events during an uncertain time with the fears of contracting or spreading an illness.  That being said, we are giving our clients the flexibility to reschedule their contracted events that are scheduled in March and April 2020, for up to one calendar year*.  (Other dates will be addressed as the situation unfolds or on a case by case basis).  Any payments you have made will be credited towards your next event as long as it is booked within one calendar year of the cancelled event.  Standard cancellation policy applies if your event is postponed indefinitely.

We recognize that the COVID-19 virus has required all of us to be more thoughtful as we go through our daily activities.  We encourage you to use and share these practices:

·       Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.

·       Avoiding close contact with people who are sick.

·       Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.

·       Avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Your business is important to us. We greatly value our relationship with you and we are committed to you and your guests. We will continue to keep a close watch on the latest developments related to COVID-19 and will follow the guidance of government and public health officials.

We look forward to providing you with award winning entertainment for you and your guests and working with you to make your event a success.

*Event must be cancelled with venue and not take place during the contracted date.

 Decor and Up-Lighting

October 2, 2018 by John Murray

When you are planning an event, whether it is a wedding, corporate party, mitzvah, birthday, school dance etc, one major part of the planning typically is decor.  Now when people traditionally think decor, they focus on linens, flowers, centerpieces, etc.  I wanted to take a moment and show how decor and up-lighting should be a part of your planning and included at every event!  It is a simple add on that is relatively inexpensive and can do wonders for your decor options.  Here is a great example, my team and I @jammindjs decided to use the gorgeous ballroom at the Denver Athletic Club as our testing ground.  This room hardly needs any help with decor, however take a look at our video we put together to see what is achieved with some decor lighting.
